PA Majority Whip, Senator Jeff Piccola(R-Dauphin and York Counties) is the third highest ranking Member in the Senate of Pennsylvania Republican Leadership Team. In this capacity, Senator Piccola travels the state to listen to key leaders with the goal of developing policies that will help Pennsylvania to grow. The following are among the issues that people have discussed with Senator Piccola: Bringing state taxes and spending under control, restoring fairness, common sense, and personal responsibility to Pennsylvania's Civil Justice System, and better educating our yourg people. Senator Piccola has used this input to push for lower taxes, meaningful Lawsuit Abuse Reform and accountability in education. Beverages and coffee provided.

Suzanne Bush, former publisher of The Reporter, and Deb Takes, President and CEO Harleysville National Bank and Trust Company, recently co-authored a book titled "Time Will Tell". The 278 page book, which provides a positive roll model for young girls, is about a seventh grade heroine, Katie Farrell, who deals with many of the same issues that today's real children face: school bullies, the tyranny of the cool kids, animal rights, justice and mercy. Suzanne, an avid golfer, is currently involved in volunteer work for several organizations, including the North Penn United Way. She also tutors and is involved in free-lance writing. Don't miss this event and listen to Suzanne explain why she and Deb Takes decided to write the book and the realities of publishing.
